Terms of Service

These terms apply to your use of shieldnest.co.uk and to every order you place with ShieldNest Bedding Ltd. By browsing the site or placing an order you accept these terms, so please read them before you buy.

Using our site

You may use this site for lawful purposes only. You agree not to attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the site, introduce malicious code, scrape content for resale, or use the site in a way that could damage it or interfere with other customers. We may suspend access if these terms are broken.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to place an order. By ordering you confirm that you are legally able to enter into a contract with us.

Products, descriptions and images

We work hard to describe and photograph our bedding accurately, but colours can appear differently on different screens and measurements are approximate. Packaging may vary from images shown. If a product turns out to be materially different from its description, you may return it under our Return and Refund Policy.

Prices and payment

All prices are shown in pounds sterling and include VAT where applicable. We may change prices at any time, but changes will not affect orders we have already accepted. Payment is taken at checkout through our payment providers. We do not store your full card details.

Orders and contract

Placing an order is an offer to buy. Our contract with you begins only when we send an email confirming that your order has been dispatched. If we cannot fulfil an order, for example because an item is out of stock or a price or description was clearly wrong, we will tell you and refund any payment in full.

Where we ship

We currently sell and deliver only to addresses within the United Kingdom. Orders with a delivery address outside the United Kingdom cannot be accepted.

Delivery

Standard delivery within the United Kingdom is free on every order. Delivery times and the Express option are set out in our Shipping Policy, which forms part of these terms.

Returns and cancellation

Your right to return items and cancel orders is set out in our Return and Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms and does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

Your consumer rights

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. Goods we supply must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality.

Our liability

We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not liable for losses that were not foreseeable, or for business losses such as loss of profit or opportunity. Nothing in these terms excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Intellectual property

All text, images, logos and other content on this site belong to us or our licensors and may not be copied or reused without our written permission.

Privacy

We handle your personal information in line with our Privacy Policy.

Events outside our control

We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as extreme weather, carrier disruption or supply shortages. If such an event occurs we will contact you and you may cancel the affected order for a full refund.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page when you place your order is the version that applies to that order.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes may be brought in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
